iPhone Game Launch Center

Today, the iPhone is officially a gaming rig. As soon as you update iTunes to version 7.7, you can browse the full collection of games available for the iPhone 3G -- which launches tomorrow and is fully detailed in our iPhone 3G Launch Guide -- as well as the current model iPhone and the iPod Touch. All titles are available for sale through the iTunes App Store, which houses not only games, but page after page of applications from star chart collections to a mobile version of the city guide site Yelp. Prices range from just a few bucks for lesser known games to $9.99 for brands like Super Monkey Ball and Bejeweled 2.

Now, the iPhone 3G is still several hours away, but that shouldn't stop you from picking out which games you want to buy. And to help, we're assembling this iPhone Game Launch Center full of screenshots and game information. We've even played some of these games already, but as we get more time with each title in the iTunes App Store and load them up on an iPod Touch and a brand-new iPhone 3G (will you be in line tomorrow morning?), we'll update this page with more and more information. And on the official launch day, expect full reviews on some of these iPhone launch games, such as Critter Crunch.

But until those reviews start rolling in, we've placed little thumbs-up next to the games you should definitely keep an eye on as you make your plans to camp out at the Apple Store nearest you.
