Cyclops' Gate
Make your way up the mountainside while avoiding the lava that spits out of the cracks in the ground. Proceed to the top and break through the cave door and enter.
Cyclops' Fortress
Blow up the darkened cracked archway to the left of the bat statue.
Hack and slash your way through the dark knights to the right. You'll see pictures of the Cyclops on the wall as you progress. Just after the fist picture (the close up of the Cyclops and the groom), use a bomb to blow a hole in the cracked archway against the back wall. It's just to the left of the bat statue. Hidden back there you'll find the Animal Orb Snoot. Eventually you'll fight a dark knight with pipes sticking out of his back and a strange little red creature. Soon after, you'll walk down some steps to find the Cyclops himself mourning over the coffin of the groom.
Fighting the Cyclops after all those dark knights can be a bit of a pain. It's recommended that you bring some Healing Potions with you. The Cyclops will raise his arms and swing them over his head and slam his knives into the ground. You'll want to attempt to avoid this. Try jumping into the air and performing a midair combo with Heavy Attacks. If you can stay to his back side you should be able to avoid getting hit. He'll then start throwing knives at you. Do your best to avoid these with vertical movements. Keep up you midair attacks and watch your health meter. Stay healthy by using potions and the Cyclops will go down. Collect all the treasure and rescue the princess!
Industrial Castle
This is back a bit on the map. You can't enter it however until you have access to the Volcano Store where you can buy a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich. Don't eat it just yet! Find the Industrial Castle on the map and enter this area. You'll find yourself outside a castle with a steel door under a crying princess and a laughing king who says your knot beefy enough. Whip out your PB&J and eat it to grow "Beefy" and then rip the steel door down by tapping
. Once the door is down, you're free to enter the castle.
Inside, fight your way to the right through the new crazy knights. Know that these enemies can hurl and summon saws after you. After a couple hordes, you'll find some green energy balls being shot at you. Stay to the top and jump over them and quickly make your way up the ramp. Here, carefully and quickly move across the narrow platform while avoiding the mashers. If you're having trouble, try using the dpad. After the mashers you'll find some electric obstacles. Watch the patterns and make your way in between them.

To the far right you'll find a slanted brick wall. Wait a few seconds and an elevator will begin to rise. More knights will ambush you on the elevator. Defeat them all and you'll eventually reach the top. Fight you way through some more knights. Do your best to avoid these and take them out. Further to the right you'll face a large green knight that carries an Animal Orb with him. Try to stick to midair combos just out of his reach. Defeat him and take his Animal Orb, Cardinal, to unlock it.
Head to the right to face off against the king of this castle and his industrious machine. Don't step on the red ground to the right and left of the center. Ignore the firing contraption along the right side and focus on taking out the five pillars that will pop out of the ground individually. Use Heavy Attacks to destroy each of them quickly. Soon a hand will lower on the left side. It's dangerous mainly because it can flick you into the hot floor. Keep your distance from it and jump up and hit it backwards. Once the five rising pillars are destroyed, focus on taking out the hand and then lastly work on the gun-like thing on the right. It will change its "ammo" every time it disappears off screen but you should be able to manage its attacks easier now that everything else is defeated. Finish off the last weapon to make the king flee his mechanical machine. Run the right and hit him off the tower and then grab the Telescope.
Lava World
Here you'll need to fight off the little red lava guys while trying to avoid being hit by the lava spouts. Watch out as these guys will begin to spit fire themselves. Work your way to the right where you will encounter a large gate that looks like a sandwich. A red guy from the left will appear, defeat him and he'll give you a PB&J sandwich. Another guy will show up after you defeated the one and will also give you a PB&J for defeating him. You can stand here and fight these guys as long as you want and collect a ton of sandwiches. When you think you have enough, go to the right and eat a sandwich to turn "beefy" (big) and you'll be able to lift the gate and toss it aside.

Pass through the now open gate and fight your way to the right. Keep going and a small cutscene will ensue that will leave you to face a horde of skeletons. Battle your way through them and then another horde of red guys. To the right you'll find a ramp that leads up to higher ground. Be sure to open the treasure chest to the right for some food. Head up the ramp and follow the high ground to the right. You will eventually come to a mini-volcano. You won't be able to damage at normal size. You will need to eat a sandwich to grow big again. Don't worry if you don't have anymore on you, just defeat one of the surrounding red guys and they'll leave you one. Eat a sandwich and attack the mini-volcano. Don't forget that just because your big, doesn't mean your invincible. Hammer away on the mini-volcano while avoiding the falling balls of lava. It will probably take you a few sandwiches to kill the creature.
Continue to the right where you'll find a path that leads back down to lower ground. Bust open the chests here to get some health from the food. Keep going to the right and you'll discover a tall mountain that the Wheel sits on top of. Unfortunately a dragon with a sock puppet on one hand guards this mountain. Don't attempt to enter the door at the top of the path as the sock covered hand will mash you into the ground. Instead, eat a sandwich and run to the left. Jump into the air and tap
to perform your swinging arm propeller-like move to hit the dragon in the head. Keep this up while doing your best to avoid its fire breath and the bouncing boulders. Eventually the dragon will be defeated and the Wheel will be yours.
Dock
To move past the Dock area, you'll have needed to find the Compass, the Wheel and the Telescope. The Compass can be found simply in the Blacksmith's area. You'll find the Telescope in the Industrial Castle. The Wheel is in Lava World. Once you collect all three of these, the captain can set sail and you can proceed.
Pirate Ship
Here, you'll simply have to fend off a few waves of ninjas as they board your ship. Hack and slash your way through these deadly assassins until your ship has sunk theirs.
Desert
Pick up the Shovel by the sandcastle and then make your way to the right. Watch out for the quicksand and the giant insect that pops out of it. If you get too close it will grab you and you'll need to wiggle the control stick to free yourself. Proceed to the right through the horde of scorpions. Keep an eye out for small "Xs" on the ground. When you see one, be sure to use the shovel to dig out the treasure.
Keep going to the right and defeat two more quicksand monsters. To the right you'll face what looks like a boxing beetle. Hop into the air and perform some midair attacks on until he gives up. Proceed to the right through a few more boxing beetles and more quicksand monsters. As you battle your way to the right, be sure to keep digging up all the small "Xs". Eventually one of them will reveal the Animal Orb, Giraffey. Touch the orb to unlock it for future use.
Keep going to the right and you'll soon be attacked by a space ship that drops little Alien Hominids at you. Focus on jumping and attacking the ship. You need to destroy it not them. Once the ship has been defeated, proceed to the right and destroy the second one that appears. Keep going to the right where you'll be abducted by the mother ship.
Alien Ship
You'll start imprisoned by laser beams. Use the bow and arrows to shoot them small switch to the lower right a few times until its broken and the lasers are released. You can move to the left if you'd like to see the Castle Crashers team trapped in tubes of water. When you are ready to move on, go to the right.
This is where the
Install Ball is hidden.
To the right you'll find the control room where you'll be attacked by hordes of Alien Hominids. There's going to be a ton of them but luckily they are pretty weak, health wise. Try to string a bunch of midair attacks together by bouncing off one to another. Defeat all the little yellow guys and then move on to the right some more. Destroy the next switch to free a buff imprisoned alien from his cell. After he destroys the control panel, you'll need to hurry to the right and shoot another switch through some lasers. Make your way to the right and against the back wall you'll see a sold black area among the pipes. Enter here and go to the right to find the Animal Orb, Install Ball.
Proceed quickly from here and kill the incoming aliens. Keep moving carefully over the steam vents. Defeat the next small group of alien then make your way through the line barriers to the emergency exit before the time runs out.
Desert Chase
Knock the enemy off the camel and jump on this mount yourself. Ride the camel around swinging your weapon like a madman. Be sure to abuse this ability of moving and swinging at the same time to the max. Watch out for the quicksand to the right. A brief scene will play that showcases an enemy on a camel with an Animal Orb following him. You'll need to hurry to the right after him, avoid more quicksand then catch up to him and knock him off his camel. Defeat this man before he can escape and take his Animal Orb, Zebra, for yourself.
Just after the quicksand, you'll see a rock casting a shadow along the top of the scene. There is an "X" on the ground up here. Dig it up to discover a sausage-like Weapon. Do this again just after the cat-head, to find another Weapon. Keep going to the far right until you finally enter the giant sandcastle.
Sand Castle Interior
If you have two bombs with you at the start of this level, bomb the cracked wall at the top twice to blow a hole in it. You can then walk out behind this wall and unlock the Animal Orb, Scratchpaw.
You first have to face off against one "beefy" enemy with one normal one. Try to jump straight into the air, just out of the "beefy" one's reach and hit him with a few midair Light attacks. This or arrows will wok well. Next you'll be cornered by two more "beefy" guys and 6 normal ones. If you can get a smaller guy alone, try to quickly take him out. If not, work on the jump attack routine with the bigger ones. Remember not to get to close to them as they will grab you right out of the air. Defeat them all and head up the stairs to the right.
Sand Castle Roof
Make your way along the top of the sand castle. You will be attacked by archers who appear then disappear after firing their weapons. They will leave you with swordsmen. Take out the baddies and continue to the right. Be careful not to get into too much fighting behind the pillars obstructing the view. Stay to the right or left or them.
Keep going to the right and you'll come to a little volleyball-like court. Here you'll need to beat the opposing team to 10. Don't worry, if you loose, the board will simply reset to zero and you can play them instantly again. Watch the ball's shadow and hit it back onto the opposite court. You can hit the ball as many times as you'd like before the other team does. You can even hit their team to make them not hit the ball back. Give it a few tries and you should get it. Once you beat them to 10, you will be awarded with the Map.
Marsh
You'll need to skip the Flooded Temple and go to the Marsh first. Quickly run to the right and knock the skeleton off the dead peasant and start to fight a small horde of them. Some other peasants will watch your bravery and aid you in your battle. Continue to the right breaking gravestone will make skeleton rise from the ground, but this will get you more gold and XP. Defeat all the skeletons and destroy all the gravestones.
In front of the third cyrpt, the open one, you'll find an "X" marked on the ground. Dig this up to discover the Animal Orb, Frogglet. There is one gravestone slightly hidden by a small hill in the background. Destroy the stone and you'll be able to unlock a new warhammer-like Weapon. Exit through the gate to the right.
More skeletons will rise from the ground and some will be turned into "beefy" skeletons. Don't be afraid to use a sandwich if you have one to combat these foes. Make your way to the right where you will face off against some green evil knights. Battle your way through them. They will even drop from a tree. Soon, they will be joined by some trolls. Hack and slash your way through the mixed mob of evildoers. Be sure to take out the large troll when it appears as it will spawn smaller ones until it's killed.
Eventually you will see an Animal Orb just waiting in the open for you, at least touch Snailburt to unlock him. You'll be joined by more peasants to the right. Help them out and they will return the favor by sticking by you for a bit. Enter the corn field to the right.
Corn Boss
This guy can be pretty annoying. At the start, try to position yourself in the front middle of his body and hammer away on him until he dives underground. Repeat this every time he pops up. It's best to bring a few healing potions to this battles as it's hard to avoid being hit. As you lower his health, he'll become faster. Be sure to pick up the popcorn that pops off him as you hit him. It's not much, but it's health. Towards the end of the battle, he'll be really fast and only popping out of the ground for a few moments. Switch to midair attacks for this leg of the fight. Keep at it and he'll go down. Afterwards, you'll be rewarded with the Horn to use in the Flooded Temple.
Flooded Temple
Once you have acquired the Horn from the Corn Boss, you may use it to enter the temple. Inside, you'll need to wade your way through some waist high water while battling fishmen. Watch out for their poisonous breath. Fight your way through them and enter the tunnel to the far right.
Medusa's Lair
Just outside the opposite the temple, you will have to look very carefully to find the small "X" on the ground. It's kind of in front of the giant statues of two fish shaking hands. Dig up the "X" to find the Animal Orb, Chicken. Fight your way through some more shallow water, then destroy the statues on the other side to find some food and money. Continue to fight your way through the fishmen and emerald knights and eventually you'll find Medusa combing her hair.
Medusa's not too hard once you find a rhythm. Get right up close to her and hold the block button, this will protect you from the snapping snake on her head. As soon as the snake snaps at you and you block it, perform a combo on her then go back to blocking. Move with your up and down the screen. After every snake snap, go for a combo other attack. Keep your attacks to a short burst and return to blocking to anticipate the next snap. Keep this routine up and Medusa will be as good as dead in no time.
Full Moon
You will now face some black knights. A pair of normal ones and one "beefy" one. Even without the constant boulders rolling down the mountain, these guys are tough. Try to keep your distance from them and only engage the big one with arrows. Until you hit the other two, they will generally just hang around but won't attack. This is what you want. Focus on the big one until he goes down then work on the little one. Know that the boulders can hit and damage them just like it can you. Just up the mountain a bit more you'll face the same trio again! Same strategy applies. Inch your way up the mountain to attract the attention of the third "beefy" black knight. Don't go to far to the right or you'll trigger two more normal ones. Alone, this big one won't pose too much trouble, especially considering you just took two others out below. Continue up the mountain and you will eventually come to a shack in the side of the mountain.
Here you'll be ambushed by a army of black knights. Try to keep them all on one side of you. Don't get surrounded. Try to bounce off them using midair attacks to cross the screen. Stay calm and don't get flustered by their numbers. Keep chipping away at them until they've all been killed. Climb the ladders up to the top of the mountain. There, you'll face more black knights and now eskimos. Fight your way through this horde of mixed soldiers. Keep climbing the mountain to the right and you'll eventually reach the icy top.
- Return here with the Cardinal and it will retrieve the Key Weapon from the second shack for you. You can take this new weapon back to the Animal Ark and use it to open the locked door to the far left. Inside you'll find the Beholder Animal Orb.
Snow World
Head to the right and you'll be attacked by more eskimos. Back up to the left and hide behind the trees from the snowball hurling ones as you take out the ones on foot. Once all the free ones have been defeated, you can easily take each of the snowball ones out one at a time. Further to the right you'll be attacked again in the same manner. Again, back up to the left to take out all the loose enemies then go down the line and defeat each snowball hurling eskimo one by one. You'll have to do this a few more times until you reach a small village. Fight your way through some more enemies here, then pay attention for another "X" on the ground. Dig it up to discover a bird-like Weapon. Keep going to the right until you reach a group of small shacks along the right of the screen and then a path up to the back leading into more snowy mountains. Before taking the path upwards, Go around to the back of the front-most house to discover the Animal Orb, Yeti.
Walk up the ramp at the end and you'll see a Horn sign. Use the Horn in front of the sign and you'll call out the Animal Orb, BiPolar Bear.
Ice Castle
No enemies here, just falling ice shards. Look at the ground and avoid the little shadows to avoid the falling ice. Make your way to the left and up the stairs. On the second floor you'll need to cross a narrow bridge while being bombarded by arrows and magic. You'll need to listen carefully for the twing of bows or the yell of the ice wizard. Hold block as you move slowly to the right. This will deflect the arrows but you will need to leap over the ice magic. Defeat the eskimos at the end then move into the ice wizard's chamber.
This battle is a lot easier if you have unlocked the Yeti Animal Orb in the Snow World level. While you can still be damaged by the ice, you will not be frozen by it. Keep moving around and then jump attacking the ice lord when he appears. You should be able to string a line of midair attacks together to stay in midair and off the dangerous ground. As you dwindle his health he'll call more ice shards onto you faster and faster. Keep moving and jump attacking the ice wizard until he's been defeated.
Wizard Castle Takeoff
Run through until you meet the villains. At this point the castle will lift off and you'll follow it with a jump spin. You need to dodge the rocks that are falling off the castle's platform. If you look closely you'll be able to see little rocks appear on screen before the actual rock shows up. Once up top, simply enter the castle.
Wizard Castle Interior
In here you'll meet a few opponents. There will be a total of twelve four per screen. They don't seem to be affected by magic much, but can be juggeled relatively easily. Watch out since their magic and combat is rather strong. At the end walk through the arch into a room with four doors, three of which will have a magic barrier. Each door leads to a boss battle you must endure, so if you haven't already, go stock up on health potions. Go through the first door.
The Painter

This is a very easy boss fight once you know how to beat him. What he does is come down and paints objects onto his canvas, these spring to life and try to run into you. On touch they will instantly cause a massive amount of damage. To fend them off, simply used ranged attacks or careful melee. Magic works to different degrees on them, but is the simplest and often safest method of taking them out. You want to strike the painter when he is coming down to draw onto his canvas, but leave before he finishes his painting (usualy two brush strokes), because you'll be hit by the painted object otherwise. Once his health is low enough, he'll start painting two, then three objects. After that he will run around the room and calling objects into existence. These are much weaker than the previous iterations and require only one hit to vanquish qhich allows you to focus on the boss. He should go down fairly easy as his paintings are his only means of defense. Once he falls he'll cough up a load of food for you. Sometimes a weapon that looks liek a rolled up joint will also appear though it is uncertain what causes it to do so.

After he's done, walk up the stairs at the end and destroy the purple crystal. The big centre piece is the one you want to get rid of, the rest are merely in the way. Once it's destroyed the game will teleport you back down and the second door will be clear. I thought it would be ncie to note at this point that if you happen to die or want to leave because of low levels of an item, your progress through the boss battles will be stored. It's also good to know that the painter can easily be mined for experience, gold and a free health refill if you don't mind the hassle.
Revived Cyclops
This fight is similar to the previous one, except that instead of his knives, he'll now swing with the groom's coffin. Same strategy as before, avoid, combo strike, avoid. At some point he'll back of a bit and start slinging fireballs at you, either shield or avoid them. After this he'll stand the coffin vertically and sit atop it while the groom zombie comes after you. Not contend with his situation he will try to jump on top of you. A circular pattern makes avoiding them pretty easy. As far as the groom zombie goes, there seems to be no way of damaging the boss while he is out of his casket. At some point you will finally defeat the cyclops again, as before, go through to the end and destroy the crystals.
Mage's Servant
This guy doesn't fight you directly for quite some time. The first thing he does is revive some opponents. He revives quite a few at once and because bodies are everywhere, the screen gets messy fast and soon you won't know where you are. I highly recommend bombs and distant magic attacks since it's easily to lose sight in melee combat. Most opponents if nto all will drop some sort of food. Be sure to get it, you will need it. The first revival is a bunch of normal sized opponents, but still relatively difficult. The second fight however adds three larger ones, brutes, to the battle. Sandwiches can work real wonders here to clear out most of the smaller enemies while dealing some damage to the larger ones.

Once this ordeal is finally over, the actual boss will come down to fight you. His style is similar to the knight groom from the Wedding Crash stage earlier in the game. Just block and wait for your chance to unleash a combo. If you uppercut and get him airborne, you can juggle him for a while, but he doesn't bounce off the floor well. He'll use skeleton magic where he will either shoot a skeleton at you (can be blocked) or have hands reach from under the ground. A simple strategy is to use magic to knock him down and them move up and start slashing. Compared to the hordes you just had to beat, this is a piece of cake. He'll drop his sword once you kill him. Now the final door is open for your enjoyment.
Final Battle
The final door and the final boss. In this first stage you have to destroy four crystals that are flying after you. Just dodge them and then attack when they're stuck in the ground. This should be fast and easy.
Now the Mage will be walking around in a bubble and throwing magic your way. While his bubble is blue you can only damage him effectively with magic. In this stage he'll be using single magic "bullets". Once his bubble is red, it's time for melee and he'll be using the magic ground/spread attack. He's rather fast, so if you have low agility, try to anticipate movement.
Once this health bar reaches zero he'll blow up into a balloon and float around launching magic downwards. Just use your air juggle attacks to stay up there with him and you should have him beat in a breeze. And down comes the boss chest, open it.
And here he is in another incarnation, a spider of sorts in a dark room. He'll spawn the soldiers you've come to hate from the beginning of the castle. If you stay up top to deal deamage when you can, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. He will side swipe your way constantly, so it's an attack and dodge strategy. If you jump and throw magic his way, you can stay at range while dealing decent damage, though it is recommend to go in for quick melee unless you need to guard your health.
The floating balloon once more please.
Finally you get to fight this guy one on one. He has a seriously good sword that can deal fire damage, so be sure to try and avoid what you can. He'll launch across the screen in air sommersaults. This usually happens one way then the other. Since he's still fast, it's a good idea to move to where he will approximately end up and attack him once he lands, but he can also be hit with magic while he's doing this. He'll also do a ground fire attack as well as jump up and hail down four fireballs. Move quickly when either of this happens. When he hails down fireballs, try moving towrds him, since this is your best chance to strike. He will very seldomly strike you directly, if it at all. Once you beat him he will drop his sword, move to it quickly and pick it up, trust me, you'll want this reward. After this the stage will collpase and you'll start falling downwards. You can steer yourself, just make sure you land on the big crystal. Once that happens the game takes over, you catch the princess and the credits play. These cannot be skipped to my knowledge, so I advise beating the final boss only once since you need to sit through all the credits again otherwise. Once the credits have run, you can kiss the final princess to finish the game.
You have now unlocked a character and insane mode (the harder difficulty).
