Epic Games has announced a November 7, 2008 release date for Gears of War 2 at Microsoft's E3 press conference. "Konami has filed a lawsuit against Viacom, Harmonix and MTV, alleging that their game Rock Band infringes various patents issued by the Japanese company.
The suit – as reported by " target=_blankBloomberg – comes as Konami primes its return to the music game genre with Rock Revolution, which itself bears an uncanny resemblance to Rock Band. But then, Rock Band bears an uncanny resemblance to Konami's 1999 game Guitar Freaks. And now we're confused.
